Chapter 2: So Many Deities!

Dark Small Medium Large Original Scroll to Bottom

The lion in the jungle does not need to roar, nor to bare its fangs or run and leap; it simply lies there, quietly observing everything before it. The aura of majesty, pride, and a cold disdain for all things naturally emanates from it, telling people that it is the king, it is the ruler, and it can determine your life and death

They appeared somewhat nervous, yet they refused to surrender or beg for mercy. Led by a robust young man, they fought desperately, but it seemed they would soon be unable to hold on any longer

Even the immortals are in a battle, what chance does she, a mere mortal, have to survive? No, she must find a weapon; even if she is to die, she cannot bring shame upon humanity. She must at least put up a fight; how can she just wait for death? Moreover, even if she were to behave obediently, she might still be caught in the tailwind of a typhoon, and in the end, wouldn't it still lead to her demise?

For the past two months, she has lost everything; this morning, in pursuit of someone, she inexplicably fell off a cliff; while sitting among the flowers, she was injured in her rear by an unknown object; she wanted to ask Uncle Harry Potter about something, but ended up stumbling into a place where celestial beings were fighting; she was even knocked down from a dozen stone steps by a flying chicken. Is there anyone more unfortunate than her? But now, she has actually become the filling of a stone sandwich!

No one spoke, or rather, the aura of blades, the aura of swords, the vital energy, and whatever other energies there were, rendered everyone present unable to speak or move, as if the slightest relaxation would result in being shattered to pieces, except for that man

The sound was crisp and melodious, as if exquisite porcelain was shattering on the ground one by one! Yet, this beautiful sound carried with it an aura of death. Even the mere insects could sense the true anger of this man in black, let alone those little deities in gray!

When she died in her previous life, she wasn't buried in a cesspit, was she? Why has she fallen to such a degree that even drinking a sip of cold water gets stuck in her teeth

The man in black was tall, with long hair cascading down, and his features were sharp as if chiseled by a knife. He was strikingly handsome, yet he appeared as cold and unyielding as a hard rock, especially with his solemn gaze and serious lips, which immediately reminded Chong Chong of the king of beasts

No, she does not want to be ground meat! She wants to be the top layer of a sandwich cookie, at least it looks better and can have some sesame sprinkled on it. She must go out, even if it means breaking a rib, she must squeeze out.

As she pondered over the matter of weapons, she instinctively began to retreat, gradually squeezing herself between two large stones. By the time she sensed that something was amiss, her body was already firmly wedged in place. Despite her desperate attempts to break free, even the air in her chest was completely squeezed out, yet she remained utterly immobile.

Correction! Correction! This is not a supernatural phenomenon; this is a battlefield, and people are fighting! Look at these individuals and swords flying about, the various lights in the sky dazzling her eyes. Aside from the person in front of her who has fainted, she cannot see a single figure clearly, so those participating in the brawl must all be deities!

Hua Sihai remained silent, lacking even a cold smile or a scoff. With a gentle wave of his left hand, the silver chain immediately began to dance, coiling in a serpentine manner half a foot away from him, moving incessantly. The silver chain resembled a series of silver fish linked end to end, and under their combined motion, a layer of silver light quickly spread through the air, rippling around Hua Sihai.

These stones are large and smooth. When she struggled between the two stones, she could not exert any strength at all. If she could grasp the hilt of the sword, she would be able to rescue herself successfully, and then she could draw this broken sword as a weapon. The appearance of this sword is indeed no different from scrap, but it is better than nothing.

Clink clink

A shadow fell from the sky, and the insect instinctively pressed itself against a large rock, wishing it could truly transform into a small bug and burrow beneath the stone. Just as a pot lid-like iron object slammed onto the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust, before a gasp could escape, a man in gray fell down again, his body and face covered in blood

Without caring for anything else, the insect turned around to pull out the sword that was deeply embedded in the stone

She no longer cared about the chaos and clamor around her, focusing solely on getting herself out of the crevice. One inch, two inches, she chuckled, not afraid of the slow progress, as long as there was advancement. After all, the battle outside was still lively, and here she could hear clearly what they were shouting about. It seemed they were saying that a demon named Hua Sihai had killed someone from the Tianmen Sect, and had even challenged them on their own territory, which led to the siege by the Tianmen Sect. It seemed they were saying that a demon named Hua Sihai had killed someone from the Tianmen Sect, and had even challenged them on their own territory, which led to the siege by the Tianmen Sect. From what she heard, this demon with the surname Hua was quite powerful, and the Tianmen Sect, with their leader and three great protectors absent, surprisingly could not subdue him with so many people!

Alright, alright, although the lower body is still stuck, the upper body has finally squeezed out a little. The insect desperately tilted its head back and suddenly saw a dark sword deeply embedded in the stone on the left, with only the hilt exposed. The material of the sword is indiscernible, and it is unclear how it became lodged in the hard stone; it only gives off a sense of ancientness, and it seems to have petrified.

She looked around in horror and saw that no one was missing from the scene, but many were already lying on the ground in a disheveled state, uncertain whether they were dead or alive. The gray-clad individuals formed a semicircle, all raising their weapons in unison, aimed at the man in black on the other side of the arena. It seemed that this celestial showdown, pitting one against many, had reached its final moment

On my shoulder, there is a digital camera, a wallet, a mobile phone, some miscellaneous trinkets, and a pack of chocolate in my backpack. There is also a Swiss Army knife, but it is a counterfeit from a street vendor, and it would surely bend at the edges even when opening a can, making it unusable. In the distance, that large round iron plate is certainly too heavy to lift. Nearby, those stones seem to have undergone some transformation in their material structure, turning to powder at the slightest touch

He advanced step by step, moving extremely slowly, as if each step were treading upon a person's chest, or as if the mountain were about to collapse, bringing an overwhelming sense of oppression. In his right hand, he held a knife that appeared dark and unremarkable, yet exuded a palpable aura of menace. His left hand dragged a long, thick silver chain, and with each step, the sound of the chain scraping against the ground filled the air

Yet she pays no heed to these matters, her heart filled only with joy

Yet she knew that sometimes the more beautiful things are, the more lethal they can be. Just like this swiftly spreading silver light, the few gray-clad individuals at the forefront could not withstand it. When their sword lights were extinguished by the encroaching silver light, they immediately fell to the ground like cut crops, unaware of their fate. And that silver light, like a tide, quickly engulfed many people in the blink of an eye

The work of the insect is related to color, yet it has never seen such beautiful silver, clear and bright, shimmering with brilliance, as if it were covered with a layer of pearlescent mist over a piece of exquisite jade.

Her plan was excellent, and the execution went smoothly. However, when she regained her freedom, before she could even cheer, she felt a rush of sand and stones around her. The air was filled with two opposing currents, one scorching hot and the other icy cold, violently colliding and swirling as if they were about to tear her apart. Apart from the howling wind, there was no other sound in the arena; it seemed that in an instant, all the immortals had vanished, leaving only her in this world

"Hua Sihai, you are being too overbearing!" someone shouted from the crowd
